The tongue is the strongest muscle is in the human body. Nevertheless, you will find a lot of debate in science textbooks on this question. The butt (gluteus maximus) and heart are right up there and you will find legitimate sources making a solid argument for either. Although proportional to size, the tongue is the strongest.
